What is Adobe Reader?
Adobe launched Acrobat more than 23 years ago, and today software is essential for viewing and editing Portable Document Format (PDF) files. Reader is the free version of Acrobat and has some of the same functionality. You can use Reader to view, print, and make simple PDF annotations. However, you cannot edit existing text or media with Reader; for that you will need Acrobat.
